DevElCuy CreditAttribution: DevElCuy commented+1, this bug is ugly and an stopper for or newbies, they find really hard to register or even login, having a very bad "first impression" of what Drupal is :(

Also, the user statistics for groups.drupal.org show continued growth of visitors. I know we could do better if we were more user friendly but progress is being made and there's a patch there awaiting review. David Strauss said that there's a potential solution for this in the next version of Pressflow which will come to d.o probably with the next Drupal core release which will likely be early in 2010.
