klonosI think this is duplicate of #415710: Favicon.ico defaults to 'type="image/x-icon"'.
Patch in post #18 fixes this issue. I know it is for D7, but I think issues are fixed for D7 and then backported to D6. Perhaps we should take it there. I've already posted a related question.
