hi

i want to know if on my website ican make a custome block to show the daily weather for some other website or if there is a module avialable to do that

and please can some one also let me know how to make a custom block to display the weather

It depends on what site you would want the weather to come from. Many sites offer code to let you put weather information on your site and you could then use that code inside a block to display the info.

You can download a weather block for drupal 4.7 from http://amadain.net/?q=node/24

The same weather block exists for drupal 4.6 - but requires a patch to drupal core to get working correctly. In drupal 4.7, it should work straing out of the box though.

It seems there are several weather modules around. E.g. Jeff's weather module: http://www.deepbass.net/jeff/?q=project.weather

It would be great if there was a universal weather module which is not bound to a certain weather service. One could have the choice between several weather services and pick the one he/she likes. I think it would be better to concentrate the effort to this universal module rather than to develope several specific weather modules.
