Dates correct everywhere else in the system including node headers and admin statistics. And yes my timezone is GMT -8, hence 16:00 relative to unix epoch.
Drupal is 4.3.2, DB is PostgreSQL.
Anywhere I should look to solve?

hystrix commentedNew items now showing up with correct dates, after postgres upgrade to 7.3, and a applying some pear fixes. However, when viewing "recent posts" tracker, I have to use ascending order, instead of descending to see the most recent.
In other words, it thinks the 1969 dates are newer. Re-saving a 1969 dated node, does not update the date either.
Could anyone provide me any suggestions to fix this?
