I've created a content item that consists of multiple text/numeric fields and a single image field that will mimic this page once the content is entered. (http://a4skyhawk.org/5e/g149487/html/149574e.htm) There are thousands of photos to manage and I do not want the end user to have to upload each and every one using the browse/upload buttons. I've tried file import and image import to no avail and I am not certain whether I am using the modules incorrectly or whether they are not meant for the tasks I am trying to accomplish.

Is there a way to upload all of the photos into the image field and then allow the user to populate the rest of the form with the image already present?

Or, can the photos be somehow uploaded and then when the user goes to create new content, there is a drop down widget that lists the already uploaded images instead of the browse/upload buttons that are presently on the page?

I want to have the photo present and then my content form will allow the selection/entry of the rest of the data present on this page.

Each step forward with this CMS seems to contain a wall lurking just beyond sight and I'm nose to nose with one of those walls.
