I'm having trouble with the forum module on my drupal site.

when a user who's logged in submits a new forum topic the node that gets displayed simply says...

"Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 01/01/1970 - 01:00"

anyone else get this happen to them? i can't see anything in the database that might indicate it's not been activated or anything like that. i'm at a loss!!!

i'm using the groups.module in my site to provide detailed user access control, and it has proved to be a bit troublesome with several aspects of the system. it is a bit of a beta module, apparently, but seems to work fairly well in the main (look forward to seeing 4.4 with this sort of access control stuff built in!).
