What's needed to make node_gallery_access production ready? [#611662]

Hello,

I have a project that I'm working on where I think node_gallery will work perfectly, but I also need to have node_gallery_access working. I've seen references that the access contrib module isn't production ready, but I don't see any open bugs.

While I'm new to Drupal, I've been writing code for about 10 years, and I'm just getting around that first learning curve. I'd be more than happy to help contribute to getting it production ready -- but if anyone knows what's wrong with it, it would save me some work.

from what I know at this point, which is very little..
I will be able to tell you more the end of November (after beta is out), when I will be setting up node gallery for buckeyelake.org(community site).
The access conflicts with other content access modules -or- that is supposedly one problem.
From helping out in the issue que, I have found that Manamarak is running it with other content access modules. Tally and dddave may have some insight about this too.

I only remember that node_gallery_access is conflicting with other node access modules. If that is still the case (I suspect so because there weren't many releases in the last weeks) node_gallery has a problem. For most users only using the node_gallery_access submodule is not an option. If they want access control for galleries they are very likely keen to have access control on other parts of their site. This conflict has to be solved to increase the usability of this module dramatically.

In general the node_gallery_access module works fine. I did quite extensive testing and it worked well for most usecases.
