Drupal has really done something weird to me, in a good way - that is.

I can't remember spending 16 hours'a'day in front of the computer since my Commodore 64 days when the thought of
getting free arcade games by making them myself nearly drove me out of school and forgot to eat.

There is just something magical to be in charge of your own site that all of a sudden can do anything you want, and
the more you work at it - the prettier it becomes, the more efficient it becomes, and creating content becomes second nature.

I remember writing tutorials the old way by creating HTML pages in notepad, that took WEEKS back in the days, it was
annoying and had a lot of "logistics" work in it...file gets created, file gets uploaded, file gets connected, file gets linked, file gets updated
so does every other file ...by hand....total turn-off, it KILLS the "lust" for creating cool content and sharing your knowledge with others.

And in my 40's I had NO need to code, no wish to code, and certainly NOT mess around with CMS systems, but then I forced
myself to try my luck with Drupal - and needless to say, endless problems and issues arose straight away, text not fitting, themes not
compatible, modules not doing their job, dependency hell, having to go into PHP code without knowledge to google for code I could
"fix" the problems with....

...but .... I liked it!

I must have, people are asking where I am, I wake up in the morning, forget to eat breakfast, and all of a sudden I have a beard
and it's late in the night, soaring hunger drives me out of the chair...finally, and then straight to bed, only to repeat the pattern
the very next day.

Watching, creating the site more and more powerful, just to enjoy being able to literally pour content out in a presentable manner
with easy administration, is so joyful that it's actually WORTH the hours I put into it.

I'm a Drupal addict! What's your story?
