I'm hoping someone can tell me how to get this working. I'd like to have users be able to receive email notifications when new content or comments are posted on the site. I enabled the Subscriptions module and everything seemed to be working, but no emails were ever sent. So I disabled the Subscriptions module and tried the Notify module. I set up notifications for a test user and added some new content. Then I clicked "save and send now" at administer >> users for the test user. Then I manually ran cron so I wouldn't have to wait for it to run again per the cron schedule. According to the logs, the notification was sent successfully, however, I never received an email at the test user email address.
New user email notifications work just fine.
I'm running the site on 4.7RC1 at present.

Is it a hotmail, aol or similar email address you are testing with? I have problems with email being sent to various "free" email services.

Neither the test user nor the site email address is making use of "free" email.

Email finally came through
Well, I finally received an email notification about the new content I added more than 12 hours ago. So it would seem that at least the email notifications are working with the Notify module. The email indicates it was sent out at the same time indicated in my message log (4/24/06 at 7:22 pm). I don't know where it was hiding out all that time.
