I have read from documentaion that one of the tasks of cron.php is erasing old log records from 'watchdog' and 'sessions' tables of drupal database. I have set up executing cron.php each day. I saw today in administer log section and found that cron was launched this morning and finished correctly. Hovewer, there are still old records in log from previous days. Why cron did not remove them? How can I fix it?

Oh, I found. There is an option in administre panel, settings: 'Discard log entries older than'. It defines how long to keep log entries. I try to change it.
