maybe UX expert think of it as too much icing on top, but I like the idea of having a chroma hash on signups and /user as in http://mattt.github.com/Chroma-Hash/

is this something that can be suitable for core? and is there still time to integrate this in d7?

Doesn't seem like there's much support for this.

We already have password strength indicator which shows whether two passwords match.
