So I've been sitting on this problem for a little while but feel its time to figure out what's wrong.

I've been using v 2.0 Beta 3 for a while now but only because everytime I try to upgrade it doesn't take.

What I do is I delete all the old UC files and folder and then upload the newly downloaded version from Drupal and then go to update.php In there it says there are no updates needed (I run it anyway) then once I go to the status update page to see if it updated it says it's still using the old version.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Sounds like you have more than one copy of Ubercart in a valid modules directory. Double-check all that, and if you have any follow-up questions, support requests are handled through the support forums at Ubercart.org.
