This moves the work that was done for the Open Social distribution back
into the mentions repository so that others may benefit from it.
This release is considered to be relatively stable as it is used in
production with Open Social. However, it's possible that there are
hidden dependencies on the way Open Social works that make this module
unfit for direct use with vanilla Drupal. Please thoroughly test before
considering using this in production.
