I've successfully installed Wysiwyg and TinyMCE in various D5 and D6 installations. Sadly, in the most recent update, recognition of tinyMCE vanished.

Looking at the config instructions, it wants the library installed at sites/all/libraries/tinymce, so that the actual library is at
sites/all/libraries/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js

No problem. I created the sites/all/libraries/tinymce folder and put the stuff into it. My actual path is sites/all/libraries/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js

No recognition. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Both Dev and the regular version. Tried it with nicedit as well. Still no luck. Jqueryupdate is installed.

If I overlooked any issues on this, I apologize, but can anyone help here?

Did you read the FAQ? http://drupal.org/node/417166

Specifically - does your theme output $closure at the end of page.tpl.php?

I had not seen that particular point, but find that the problem persists both in the garland theme, as well as in pushbutton which I had modified but note that the $scripts output is still in the head.

I've now trolled the FAQ but see no further hints that seem to apply. Have you found that PHP version (I am on 5.0 with this site) might be a problem?

Found the issue. The executable bit on my libraries directory was not set right.

Oh well. I need to get better at managing this side of the installs anyway. Thanks for being there!
