Hi,
I'm having one heck of a time figuring out how to install, configure, and use the Civicspace theme. In case it matters, I'm using a Mac OS 10.2.8. I’ve downloaded Civicspace to my desktop, then went to my Drupal directory, under themes, and uploaded all of the components of Civicspace (it wouldn’t load as a whole folder, so I clicked on each element in the folder and uploaded it). It seemed to upload fine, and then was shown as existing in the themes directory.

Then I realized (through reading in the handbook) that I may not have the correct theme engine, so I downloaded the PHPTemplate and Smarty Theme Engines to my Desktop and then, in the same way (one element of the folder at a time - clicking on one, then holding down my space bar as I clicked on others), uploaded both. The screen said both had uploaded to the Engines folder just fine.

So everything should have been there. However, when I went to administration, and then themes, on my Drupal adminstrator page, Civicspace didn’t show up as a choice. As far as I can see, I’ve followed the steps accurately, but I must be missing something. Help!

Neither the civicspace Learn More page nor the readme.txt included in the package explains how to properly deploy the Civic Space theme in Drupal. Even a few sentences would be a great help.

You have to install the PHPTemplate to the themes/engines/ directory. Then the civic space theme showed up under admin options.

They really aught to add this--a simple set of instructions would clearly prevent confusion.
