Currently when looking at the monthly calendar, multi day events are displayed with start+end datetimes on each day. This looks ugly and repetitive. I'd prefer if the starting day had the start time and the dash, each middle day had only a dash and the ending day had a dash and the ending time.

I am also experiencing this on a clients website that handles booking of taxi routes. The client finds the repetive items very annoying. I would like to be able to change this in the calendar views but I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?

You may be able to achieve this with the current version, or at least something more to your liking:

Edit the calendar view eg /admin/build/views/edit/calendar
Click on your datetime field in the "fields" box.
Here you can change the format (long, medium, short, time), whether to display from and to dates, and also rewrite the output comletely with tokens.
