i want position 1 & 3 sticked in the frontpage, and other positon can random for story or forum etc,,,
can this work in drupal?

i means if there 5 story can show on the frontpage like 5 block ,i want 2 static story fixed in the bolck 2 & 4, and other story show in block 1,3,5, and this three blocks will show new content when there r a new story submited or a new topic submited in forum, but in any sense ,the content of block 2 & 4 not changed untill i want change them.
the benefit is i can put some content or ad. in fixed position in frontpage.
do u get what i said now?

Take a look at headlines.module (at http://drupal.org/project/headlines ) I think it may do what you need. It needs to be updated to 4.3.0, but that shouldn't be too hard.
