a friend i put up a drupal photo blog up for said that he thinks that the image files have deteriorated a bit since he put them up.

i am using the image module and a cvs version of drupal from just a little before the 4.3 release.

is this even possible?

i can't think of a reason that the images would deteriorate either sitting in the database or in transmission to the database... but then, i don't understand very much about image programming.
