I have noticed recently some spam in my referrer log. The sites appear to be legit at first glance, but they are not. They share one thing in common, a hidden link to the same porn webcam. And clicking on the link from the log not only adds my site to end of the links section on the site, it also exposes the path to my admin module. The domains are registered to people with incorrect data, like the wrong area code for the city. No idea what they are trying to gain, maybe some increased page rank on google. I did read some about some negative experiences when confronting them. Some examples of the referring site are saluem.com, mikesspot.com, jennifersblog.com. I wrote a little about the experience on my blog, mjwall.com, and included some links to others who have done the same.

I first thought that this must be a rather exotic topic but after checking my logs, I discovered quite a lot of those links.
Not much I can do about them, I guess.

Saw these sites appear today in my log too. Annoying that they are spamming my statistics. Visited them out of curiousity. Didn't know it was an misleading 'catch 'em lost people' site- there trying to get clicks. Seems they have a referer list, so when you click from drupal admin, your url appear on their frontpage. My listing is gone after one day.
