Just installed Drupal today. Very clean install, great work!
I thought that the Jabber Authentication was a great idea, and good for the community I have in mind. However, I have my Jabber server purposely configured to only accept SSL connections. It appears that the Jabber module for Drupal doesn't have this functionality.
Is this correct? And are there any plans to add such a feature?

that module hasn't been updated in a while. I don't have much plans to enhance it. You could open a feature request for this.
