If you go to http://www.thinkingpost.net you can see that drupal is showing the default page that you get whe you first install drupal. However, when you are logged in, the proper content shows up. I have everything set to that anonymous viewers can read the articles too. But to submit them you have to creat an account.
Why would it be doing this?

Did you install any access
Did you install any access control modules recently? Notably, node_privacy_by_role or even taxonomy_access or simple_access?
Or even Organic groups?
I don't have a ready answer, but I faced a similar problem when I installed node_privacy on one of my sites.
oh, I removed organic groups
First I disabled organic groups, and then I removed it out of the directory, and then later when trying to troubleshoot, I removed og from the database too. I didn't use it though, thats why I removed it. It was active for a time, but I never got to using it.

Sorted!
Thanks mate! It was organic groups. There is a seperate access control on button and it was still enabled when I re-installed it. I disabled it and then disabled it from the modules after this time, and that put everything back.
Jeeze, i thought I messed everything up there for a bit.

Glad to know it helped.

Organic Groups makes huges changes to the database so you need to be careful playing with it on a live site. To be fair, the readme.txt or install.txt is very clear about needing to be extra careful while using OG.
By the way, I have always found it better to have a separate test site to try out all the modules before using them on a live site. Extra work, yes, but often worth the trouble.
Edit Oh, I notice that Heine already hinted about test sites;-)
What did you change?
What did you change? I've checked your site earlier today and it was ok (saw the spellfixes).
Please read tips for posting to the forums
I just installed modules and updated the legal rules for signups
I installed the moviereview module, the service links module, got captcha to work and installed a recipe module.
durring that time, everything looked fine. But now when I log out, or anything, I get that screen. I can create a new account and all the news then comes back when I log in.
I checked access controls, anonymous has access. I tried removing it, and then I get "access is denied" like I am supposed to, re-enabled it, and then comes back the drupal start page.
I removed the database entries for those mods I put in, and removed the mods I added, but still get the same result.

Organic groups...
I see the problem is solved. Great!
Now some feedback; You forgot to mention that you installed & deleted organic groups in the post above. Good that ramdack5000 brought it up or no-one would have thought about that with the modulelist you posted. For your own sake; please be complete.
You may also benefit from reading the handbook on best practices, specifically the entry about test sites.
To quote sepeck: Test site...always start with a test site ;-)
I noticed that when my is
I noticed that when my is being database is being backed up that the anonymous user seems to disappear sometimes. You might check this first.
