i'm planning to set up a fan site/community centre for a band, and i'm curious to know how Drupal would handle my requirements.
so, i would rather like the following:
Photo Gallery - i'm used to Atomic Photo Album, so anything that advanced, or similar?
chat of some description, maybe phpmychat'ish
the forum looks pretty good, so that's a definite maybe
actually, there's not much missing at all, so i'm really rather tempted :)
i would just try it, but i don't really have the server for it right now.
cheers
Phil.

hi
there are loads of features, an image gallery is one of them. please look around in screenshots, fora and mailinglist.
and while other oss cms-es might have *more* options, drupal sure has (at least for me) the *right* (implementation) of features.
the admin interface of 4.2 is not as glossy as some other cmses but the new 4.3 interface is complete integrated with the rest of the site.
look around at the different drupal sites and play around with the admin interface at opensourcecms.com

hmmm
well, i've had a go at getting the gallery working but discovered that it requires netPBM or imagemagick(neither of which are available on the host i use), and that it wont run in safe mode(which is a restriction on one of the hosts), any chance of making coppermine work with Drupal?
cheers
Phil.
p.s. i also had trouble working out the forum system(creation there of)
image.module uses either Imag
image.module uses either Imagemagick's convert or GDlib (1.x or 2.x).
It should run in safe mode.
