Hi,

I have converted a phpNuke / phpBB site to Drupal 5.1. All is fine - all the forums and user data has been imported - but I now have to setup the various forum's usergroups and their permissions as they were in the phpBB implementation. I didn't convert that data as it was too complex but am very happy to configure the Drupal site forums manually.

The problem is, I have no idea how to create usergroups and their permissions for individual forums using Drupal's native forums. But I have a suspicion that others have done it using extra module(s)?

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Bob

You can use roles, which is built into core, to do the user groups. The forum related permissions aren't very fine grained, though, especially in D5. If you look at the forum access module, you can get more detailed.
