Hola,

I am unable to install the new version of this module and get the following symptoms.

Upgradng:
If you copy the new code on top of an existing installation, or replace the module with the new code all the menu items dissapear for the module (though remain in the role permissions). All functionality is lost and no indexing is performed, and the new version is listed in the modules page with in a non standard format (no version number and the name of the module appears in single quotes).

New Install:
White page of death when attempting to enable the module, same unusual looking listing as the upgrade option (no spurise as it's the same code).

I have attached an image showing the odd looking module listing.

System Info:
Drupal 5.12
MySQL 5
PHP 5

Digging around and it looks like the version 5.x-1.2 seems to have quite a lot of 6.x references. Has the code become mixed up?

Just downloaded this module. The .info and .install files for 5.x contain 6.x code. Looks like module code is 6.x too.

Yea this looks like someone overwrote you 5.x code with 6.x code.

Thanks
Robert

Looks like someone created a release off of head instead of the 5.x branch. The Previous release seems to be working for me.

Same experience for me as the original poster.

Hope someone can help sort out the 'released' module!

Thanks-

Same problem here, still not fixed.

I'm getting the same errors here. Spent half an hour trying to fix the code myself (how come 6.x is listed as a dependency in a 5.x module?!) until I stumbled across this post.

For the unfortunate souls scratching their heads, download the search_files 5.x-1.1-beta1.tar.gz file at http://drupal.org/node/340171
