Month mini view (activated as block) displays first letter of day names as column title. That's a problem in Catalan language as all days of a week begin with the same letter (=D). So it would be great if I could use 2 letter words defined in locale module, for example should be used msgid "Sun", which in Catalan is msgstr "Dg".

You have the option to display a two-letter title instead of a one-letter title. It's in your style settings. Look on the 'Block view' display, where it says 'Style: Calendar'. To the right of that is a gear icon for controlling the style settings.

Thanks for your help on your great module, it's really flexible as this topic demonstrates. For Catalan language I still have a problem as first two letters of all weekdays are the same (=Di) so choosing the option 'First two letters of name' is no solution. Choosing 'Abbreviated name' shows only two letters as there is no more space in block. 'Abbreviated name' seems to take first three letters of t('Sunday') which in English is the same as t('Sun), but in Catalan short name (Dm) is different to first two letters of weekday. This problem comes from Date module and actually is being discussed here.
