Problem/Motivation

Drupal 8 is nearing end of life, and it's no longer worthwhile maintaining backward compatibility for the 2.x branch, which is incorporating changes from core Media in D9.

Proposed resolution

Update composer.json and oembed_providers.info.yml to remove D8 support.
