I needed to keep a history of scheduled_update entities within the content.

Proposed resolution

I thought that by setting in the configuration "After update behavior" => "Archive Updates", it was possible to avoid removing the reference with the entity "scheduled_update" within the content.

Since there's been no interest in 6 years going to close out. Hoping to get some kind of version of this module out but recommend scheduled_transitions
