Hi there,
I installed smileys and had everything working fine with input filters etc. I put my smiley in the text and the graphic showed no problems. Lately I have been doing a lot of work with various modules and now I notice my smileys no longer show as images. Instead the smiley icon is now showing as text e.g. :? used to show an image now the text puzzled is showing. I trred uninstalling and reinstalling the module (and running update.php). That didn't work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mat

matshep1 CreditAttribution: matshep1 commentedFunnily enough I do have an error....
Error: missing ; before statement
Source File: http://www.pharmacyintern.ca/misc/jquery.js
Line: 3, Column: 3
Source Code:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function drupal_json() in /home/phar9240/public_html/sites/all/modules/advanced_forum/advanced_forum.module on line 1099
I guess this would be enough to make the module unhappy. I updated the forum recently. Though I am not looking at the forum when this happens. Do you have any ideas or should I bump this over to the advanced forum issues page?
Thanks for the quick reply :)

matshep1 CreditAttribution: matshep1 commentedHi there,
I fixed this error message by updating to jquery 1.1.2 with the jquery update module. The problem still remains but only in firefox. In IE7 the smileys appear as they should. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mat

I just had to uninstall the smileys pack and import back again.
Anyone else who comes across this problem go to administer >> smileys >> import
then in the table you will see a list of the installed smileys packs, the default being example. Beside this you will see an uninstall link...click uninstall.
now go back to administer >> smileys >> import and import the example pack (or whatever pack you want).
It worked for me.
Thanks for the module Gurpartap,
Mat ;)

ptitgal CreditAttribution: ptitgal commentedDoesn't work for me, I've got the text as well, tried to uninstall and reinstall packs, but I didn't do. No javascript errors either by the way, is it something else ?

matshep1 CreditAttribution: matshep1 commentedHi there,
Do you see any smiley images anywhere? Did you remove the smiley pack as explained above, and then did you re-import it? Have you deleted or moved any files or folders lately? Have you checked the results on different browsers. When you look at the page source code does an image link appear in the html code?
Let me know and I'll see if I can help. I'm no expert :)

ptitgal CreditAttribution: ptitgal commentedHi,
I can easily select a smiley while I'm writing my comment. Once the smiley is chosen, I've got the text corresponding to the simley in the text box (i.e. : >:D<), til there, everything is fine.
When i'm clicking on submit or preview, this text isn't replaced in any browser by the smiley.
I've tried : post a comment with smiley code => uninstall smiley pack => read the comment => install smiley pack
Didn't work...
When I'm looking into the HTML code, I have no image links, just the plain text.

matshep1 CreditAttribution: matshep1 commentedHi there,
Have you configured the filtered html input format to include the smileys filter? Go to administer >> input formats and then configure whichever input format you want to display smileys e.g. filtered html format. Once in the input format configuration screen you need to check the tick box for smileys filter.
Let me know if this is the issue or not.
Good Luck,
Mat
