I like to translate the forum topics and the container.
Not the posts of the users.

How can I do that?

The localization module seems not to do that.

I appreciate your help.

I created a separate forum for the second language.

Didn't find a other solution for that problem.

Did you?

Any progress? I want to translate a forum into another language too. Hope it can be improved.

I managed to get the forums working properly in a multilanguage perspective. I actually juste created the forums as Non-Language Dependant (had to recreate them as the English setting was sticky... that was the trick to change the vocabulary setting - disable the forum module, delete the vocabulary, enable the forum module). I did set my forum hierarchy to start with language containers, then subjects. It makes the users possible to post in any language-based forum, but that's ok. I figure that they would be just idiots to post a French message in an English forum. I also make sure that the forum names are clearly of one language.

I would very much like to know this as well. I have been trying to do this for a while now too. Please let me know when you find out. Thanks!
