Clickable JS smileys on Textareas

Hi,

in forums, smileys ore often visually listed and inserted into the post by just clicking on the appropriate smiley.

For clickable smileys, usually a small toolbar is used; insertion of smileys works with javascript, so by just clicking onto the toolbar (like in PhpBB) the smiley gets inserted into the post.

Does anyone know a way to implement this common and rather user-friendly approach for the 'smiley' module?
