I may be overlooking something, but it sure looks to me like the protected $dispatcher property is not used anywhere. I would suspect this is left over from copy / pasting some other code. If somebody can confirm my suspicion, this would make a good novice issue for someone to remove lines 48 - 54 (as of today's date in 8.7.x).
