but i keep getting the same errors

i wanna set drupal to gmt rather than server time

Are you using the Event module? Usually if you can't set the site timezone that is the reason. If so, you can't use Date and Event together until Event module gets patched to allow it.

No, there is already an issue about the Date/Event conflict, we don't need another one. Your question is answered, so this is fixed.
