To reproduce:
1. Install backup_migrate.
2. Go to admin/config/development/backup_migrate/settings.
3. Add two new settings profiles, call then aaa and bbb.
4. Go to admin/config/development/backup_migrate/schedule and add a new schedule, use the bbb.
5. Edit this new schedule, it will show as using the aaa settings profile, not the bbb one you set.

I'm seeing this also. Looking inside DrupalConfigHelper::getSettingsProfileSelector() I can't see where a default value is set.
