It is common for sites to run a cron job for content scheduling at some larger interval than every minute, e.g., every 5, 10, 15, or even 30 minutes. It is counter-intuitive to be presented with a form widget that allows scheduling with granularity down to the minute when it will not be respected. It would be beneficial, therefore, to allow the form widget to the configured to correspond to the granularity of the job. Options of every 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minutes make sense to me. (I realize this makes sense to solve in Core's datetime.module, but I thought it worth registering here for a potentially quicker solution.)

Since there's been no interest in 8 years going to close out. Hoping to get some kind of version of this module out but recommend scheduled_transitions
