Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Here's the link to the requirements for a subsystem maintainer: https://www.drupal.org/contribute/core/maintainers#subsystem. I think @masipila well fits the description, and has for a while. His special focus has been docs. Let's recognize his efforts in this valuable area by adding him to the list of active maintainers.

heddn@masipila can you do the honors of adding a patch here to add your name to MAINTAINERS.txt? We alpha sort by last name.

xjmWelcome @masipila! Thanks for being willing to contribute as a subsystem maintainer.
Committed and pushed to 8.5.x and 8.4.x. I also added "Maintain issues" permission on core for @masipila (you will now see a long list in the "Assigned" field and be able to assign issues to your fellow maintainers) and added @masipila as a member of https://groups.drupal.org/core (so you can post announcements about the subsystem to the community.
