The search view filter criteria has a minimum keyword length of 2.

Searching for an invalid query with a length of 1 yields an error message as expected:

However, searching for the same query again (even from a different browser), does not show the error message:

Subsequent loads

The error message is only displayed on the first search of each unique query.

I'm closing this issue because it hasn't seen any action in over 3 years, and I'm not even sure it can be reproduced anymore (the cause of the issue is unclear).
