I have created a custom content type with associated custom fields. Some of the custom fields use text drop down widgets for display.
When I display the form for creating the custom content type, then the drop-down widgets are not showing the associated items. The display when clicking on the drop-down is of the title of the drop down with no display of items to select. The attached image shows when the Market drop down is selected.
I notice that this is the case when I choose the Social Base Theme 2.1 as the default as well. However, if I set the Bootstrap theme as the default theme, then the choices for the drop down are displayed as a group of radio buttons.

bkudrle CreditAttribution: bkudrle commentedJust as another comment, as I am somewhat new to Drupal 8. It turns out that at least for the Adaptive Theme that I began using instead of the Social themes, that a "drop-down" widget actually gets displayed as just a set of radio button widgets, as was the case for the Bootstrap theme as well. To get what most people refer to as a drop-down widget I had to choose a list of text items and then just allow one choice. If I do that, then the Social Blue theme does indeed display the drop-down correctly, similar to the other themes. So the problem in this case is just for the drop-down widget, which actually shows up in non-Social themes as a group of radio buttons.
