Specifically named View not authorized to site visitors

Previously functioning View page with path /examples will not display filtered content under associated main nav link.
Content will display in preview but page shows visitors "You are not authorized to view this page."

Changing path from /examples to /example (plural vs singular) displays content normally.

This happened after I created viewblocks to add content to the top of each main nav page. A content type was created for each linked page. Then a view with block was created with a filter to display each content type. The other pages added the content to the view with no issues. The block for Examples View seemed to duplicate the block content, displaying it twice on the page but the Original view page content was gone.

Deleting viewpage and view block and recreating did not fix. Any use of the originally named link displays "You are not authorized to view this page."
