Apologies if this is the wrong project, but from the best I can tell it is an issue with Lightning since lightning_media creates the file_upload media browser. See attached screenshot where the status messages are being double escaped.

balsamaYes, I'm pretty sure we looked into this before and found that our options were either don't set the message or accept the double escape - because it was happening downstream from Lightning. But the message is initiated from Lightning so it's valid until we can trace it further.
@phenaproxima might remember why or have clues on where to look.
