Hi Guys,
Good morning to all !!! I started my day with drupal menu bar conversion. My goal is to use an existing theme and convert the top menu bar which is common in millions of sites into something that has a vertical menu bar that would include things like: Home, Events, Activities, Projects, Forums etc.
Any ideas of where to begin ? I am thinking at the block level and convert the menu block, i don't know if it is possible..
By end of the day, I would know..
Peace.

Well, what happens when you put a menu block in the sidebar? I'm assuming your theme has a sidebar, right? And that would be where your vertical menu should go?
Start with that and see what you get. Your theme may or may not have provided good theming for that case, so you might need to add or change the CSS to make it look good.

Good idea, never thought of that..
Just tried your idea and turned out it worked well but the look and feel is not exactly the same as it was in the horizontal menu. I think I need to modify something to bring the red color hover, menu background etc., more tweaking is needed to get the same feel while it was in the horizontal mode. Probably css files related to sidebar might help. Thanks again for the tip.
