Before trying out 8.x-5.x-dev I had a link icon which included the typical Linkit "plus" sign on the link icon. Now, the icon is exactly the same as the built in link icon which make them visually inseparable?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design. We've always used Linkit beside the default link plugin, because Linkit simply does not supply all the features the default one does (properties like: target, alt, title, etc..). I can imagine Linkit would like to replace the default Link plugin, but I would beg to differ since the default Link plugin adds a lot of aforementioned extra features which Linkit lacks.

I just came to the discovery that the "duplicate" icon is actually a other module; CKEditor Anchor Link - For Drupal 8. Linkit does actually implement itself into the default link plugin, so that's all good. But, wouldn't it be nice if Linkit could implement itself ALSO in the "better link dialog"-plugin in the aforementioned module?

Edit: Somewhat related:

@Ambidex: Linkit now extends the default Drupal Link plugin, and to get the extra features you talk about, you can add editor_advanced_link. That will give you target, alt, title, etc..

Guess there is no need to have both Linkit and the default at the same time anymore =)
