In testing I've found a few issues with permissions. Using a site admin account I configured a new group, created a new user account, and added that account as group administrator. I found the following issues with permissions:

  1. Turning off "Edit group" permission didn't have an effect. User could still edit the group information. (The only way to turn this off was to turn off "Administer group" completely, which is a step too far.)
  2. While "invite members by mail" and "manage e-mail invitations" are both separately selectable permissions, they require "invite members by user" to be selected to actually appear.

We thank everyone for their collaboration on this issue, but as the D7 version is no longer supported, we will now close all D7 issues to keep the issue queue a bit tidier. This information won't go anywhere, it just won't show up on the list of open issues anymore.
