taxonomy terms used in a view are showing in all languages

Recently, a site I am developing for my NGO, has started showing a strange behavior that I cannot find specific causes of. I've searched and I believe it started after a massive update of language and translation related modules. Basically the terms of a vocabulary that are used as a filter in a view and that are translated in several different languages, instead than showing only for the language the site is at that specific moment (be it the user's language or another specifically selected one), are showing all together as if they were not each other's translations.
Any hint on how to solve this issue?
