Validation error on Recreate page causes changes to be lost

If you are making changes to an existing feature, and you have a typo or other invalid input in a field like "Version" at the time that you click the "Download feature" button, the validation error appears and you will lose your changes.

Ideally, Features would display the validation error but keep the changes selected in the form, so that you don't lose work over a simple typo.
