On a site I run editors are suddenly finding that unpublished content that used to appear in their "My Workbench" no longer appears. They have all permissions in the Workbench Moderation module including "View all unpublished content". In core, the users also have the "administer content" and "view own unpublished content" permissions but not "bypass content access control". The nodes were created by them and they are able to view the unpublished content in its own page as well as in a custom view. This change has occurred this week since we updated to Drupal core 7.54 (from 7.50) and Workbench Moderation 7.x-3.0 (from 7.x-1.4). Previous to the update their "My Workbench" showed all their content whether unpublished or not. They create a lot of content as unpublished some weeks ahead of publication, so at the moment Workbench isn't of much use to them unfortunately.

Not sure if it's related or not, but the same editors are also finding that unpublished nodes that used to appear in an entity reference field are now not appearing there. We are using Entity Reference 7.x-1.1. I have raised a similar issue in that queue.
