Conflict with Media module on unsaved nodes

I have discovered that this module and the Media module doesn't work well together on unsaved nodes.

This is my setup:
- Autosave 7.x-2.2
- Media 7.x-2.8
- Add an image/file field on a content type, use the media browser as widget
- Enable autosave of that content type

Go to the node/add/[contenttype] page, add an image in the field, then click Edit on the same image.
The wrong edit-page opens in the overlay and you can't come back to the form.

When editing an existing node and edit the image everything works well, as well as when disabling autosave on the content type.
