apache Solr indexing in linux machine

I am trying to make apache solr indexing in my local machine, I have done solr4.3 set up and created core, drupal site set up is done , apache solr search module and decencies installed. When i try to reindex solr in drupal i have a message saying that "The server seems to be unavailable. Please verify the server settings at the settings page".
