Why Drupal was chosen:
A great learning experience
Drupal is a great education and elearning masterpiece. It is very important for any training institution to have a capability to expand, extend its online presence worldwide to enrol members, add more content to the website and create new blocks and pages. And Drupal provides a feature-rich learning environment that would fit any educational & training institution. With Drupal installation, it is easy to extend your site to include social bookmarking, a prodcasting and video sharing platform, image sharing, and interactive discussions around rich media content. IKO International needed solutions for their kiteboarding training programs leading to international recognition and provided a set of heavy requirement documents outlining the core functionality. Using Drupal, it is easy build an intuitive structure to allow students and trainers to find relevant content. Any modern institution needs to have its website to offer courses to students, enrol members, pay fees, share learning resources and these features allows to maintain the site safely and securely. That’s the reason why we chosen Drupal!
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
Goals
The aim of the project was to create a elearning solution for many kiteboard learning and training goals. eCourses should enable trainers, instructors and kiteboarders to apply for courses, shop online for course material and get training certification.
Requirements
We analyzed what most of the institutions strive to promote courses on their websites and brainstormed how to present all the necessary content blocks in a way to demonstrate the benefits of the institute's courses to various types of members.
Outcome
As an outcome we have a online kiteboarding system that satisfies all the modern needs of trainers, instructors and kiteboarders. The website has an attractive and informative home page, List of training centers, eLearning programs, Online shopping, and about us pages. All of them are customizable to meet the different needs of stakeholders.

The main requirement for this project is to have a web-based course management system that would allow their members to enrol members for eCourses in multiple languages. So we chose to go with Internationalization. With Profile2 members were able to register and create profiles.
Views was used to display the course and videos and learning materials. Content Access was used by site administrators to manage permissions for content access types by Roles.Drupal Commerce has been used to build eCommerce for shopping kite course material and place orders for books, cards, clothing and accessories. And Rules provided maximum flexibility to manage page redirection, sending automatic email content publishing etc ...
