Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO) seeks a software development partner with Drupal development expertise to help us continually iterate improvements to IllinoisLegalAid.org.

The most recent iteration of https://www.illinoislegalaid.org is built on Drupal 7. It was launched in August 2016, after a two-year development process. Although an improvement over the previous website, IllinoisLegalAid.org launched without a number of key features that had been planned and, as with most new products, has a number of defects that need to be fixed.

ILAO seeks to increase its software development capacity by entering into a relationship with a Drupal vendor who can provide the expert human resources needed to burn down our backlog so that we are able to meet our existing commitments, reduce defects and technical debt, and allow us to take on new projects so that we can continue to innovate and meet the needs of our users. We plan to maintain our existing front-end developer on staff and have estimated a need to add about 60 hours of developer resources per week, focused primarily on site building and custom back-end development. We expect this relationship to run to June 30, 2018, assuming satisfactory performance and with potential renewal in future years.
