Hi All,
I have a dev site created on aquia cloud. I am trying to install pathauto module. During installation it asks for FTP credentials. After I provide the same, it creates a directory structure till the pathauto folder but the installation fails with the below error
"
File Transfer failed, reason: Cannot move /mnt/tmp/runnerdrupalsitevppeclyxxu/update-extraction-2216e81b/pathauto/README.md to /mnt/www/html/runnerdrupalsitevppeclyxxu/docroot/modules/pathauto/README.md
"
This is the same scenario if we try to install any module.
Anyone facing the same issue.

I think Acquia Clould will
I think Acquia Clould will only let you install a module direct to the site if you have enabled live development. See https://docs.acquia.com/acquia-cloud/develop/install-module
This is becasue they would consider doing so the wrong approach. The right approach would be to install to your local copy of the site then deploy to Acquia cloud using git. They probably think that workflow is more 'professional.' I don't use Acquia Cloud, so cannot be sure. Best thing is to read their documentation (available from various links on the left the page I linked above) if you face any more difficulties. Or just develop and install all modules locally, perhaps usuing Drupal VM or Acquia Dev Desktop.
